Job summary

Prestige In Home Care is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to support our clients in Geelong and surrounding areas. If you’re passionate about person-centred care, enjoy working independently, and have experience with complex needs, we’d love to hear from you.

Requirements include a current Working with Children Check, NDIS disability support experience, ability to work with children as young as 13, hands-on mobility assistance with hoists and slide sheets, and PEG feeding/NIV

Qualifications

• Current Working with Children Check (mandatory).
• NDIS disability support experience required; aged care experience alone is not sufficient.
• Ability to work independently in clients' homes.
• Experience supporting children and young people (youngest client is 13).
• Experience caring for clients with complex needs (e.g., MND, behaviours of concern).
• Hands-on mobility handling with hoists, slide sheets, and related equipment.
• Experience supporting PEG feeding and NIV management.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred disability support in clients’ homes.
• Assist with mobility and activities of daily living.
• Support PEG feeding and NIV management as required.
• Maintain safety using mobility equipment and safe manual handling.
• Document care provided and communicate with the team.
