Job summary

Life Without Barriers is seeking a Disability Support Worker in the Metro Adelaide area to positively impact the lives of individuals in the local community. You’ll join the Lifestyles team and provide transportation in your own vehicle, with shifts from 9am–7pm, including short split shifts and weekends.

The role requires a valid Australian driver’s licence with a registered and insured vehicle, and you must hold First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009).

• Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle.

As a Disability Support Worker working in the Metro Adelaide area, you will be dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals in your local community. We are looking for candidates with experience in the Disability industry who are eager to make a difference and help the people we support live their best lives.

You will be joining our Lifestyles team and will be required to provide transportation in your own vehicle, so a valid Australian driver's licence and your own registered and insured vehicle are a requirement. Shifts will range from day work 9am – 7pm with short, split shifts and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to clients in line with their support needs, preferences, individual support plans and funding. Participate in community activities and encourage clients to perform daily living tasks
• Establish meaningful relationships with clients, their families, supporters and advocates to work towards positive outcomes for clients.
• Complete documentation and reporting requirements, including completing case notes, documenting incidents and any other requirements of the role.
• Commitment to work short, split shifts and weekends.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks, including a National Criminal History Record Check, and a NDIS Worker Screening Check.
