Job summary

Drake International is seeking a Disability Support Worker / Enrolled Nurse in Kempsey, NSW. This casual role focuses on pediatric complex care in a home setting, with tracheostomy and ventilation support, enteral feeding, and daily living assistance.

You will join a supportive team offering structured onboarding, paid training, and regular shifts with monthly rosters based on availability.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or Enrolled Nurse qualification is required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in disability or complex care.
• Current manual handling certification.
• Current medication administration certification.
• Current First Aid and CPR.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check.
• Right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical support including airway management and tracheostomy care.
• Perform tracheostomy suctioning per care plans.
• Administer enteral feeding via PEG and monitor tolerance.
• Provide personal care and activities of daily living.
• Support communication and engagement with a young child.
• Assist with safe handling, positioning and transfers.
• Administer medications per treatment plans and policies.
• Provide basic household support to maintain a safe environment.

Disability Support Worker / Enrolled Nurse (Pediatric Complex Care)

Location: Kempsey, NSW

Work Type: Casual / Ongoing Shifts/ Regular Shift Patterns

Pay Rate: $41-45/hour

The Role: Disability Support Worker / Enrolled Nurse

• Deliver comprehensive clinical support, including airway management via tracheostomy and invasive ventilation.
• Perform tracheostomy suctioning in accordance with clinical care plans and prescribed procedures.
• Administer enteral feeding via a PEG tube and monitor for tolerance and wellbeing.
• Provide personal care and activities of daily living.
• Facilitate and support communication, play, social interaction, and meaningful engagement with a young child.
• Assist with safe manual handling, positioning, repositioning, and transfers in line with manual handling protocols.
• Administer medications in accordance with prescribed treatment plans and organisational policies.
• Provide basic household assistance to maintain a safe, clean, and supportive care environment.
