Job summary

Disability Support Agency in Victoria is seeking a compassionate Disability Support Worker to provide person-centred care to clients with physical, intellectual and psychosocial disabilities. Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
• Candidates studying towards their Certificate are encouraged to apply.
• Minimum of 6 months experience working with people with disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
• A commitment to dignity, respect and empowerment.
• Australian citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply.
• A valid NDIS Worker Check is required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Accompanying clients to appointments, social activities, and community events.
• Providing emotional support and encouragement to help clients reach their full potential.
• Collaborating with the client, their families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalised support plans.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation to ensure the highest quality of care.
• Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
