Job summary

Choices And Rights in Chermside is seeking Disability Support Workers for casual roles. You will support individuals with disabilities to live safely and independently within the community, including day and overnight supports.

A willingness to work varied shifts, including sleepovers, is essential. Applicants should bring experience with mental health disorders, disability/aged care, and hold current First Aid/CPR, Yellow Card or NDIS screening, and National Police Check.

Qualifications

• Experience with mental health disorders.
• Disability or Aged Care industry experience.
• Willingness to provide day and overnight supports.
• Current Yellow Card or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
• Current National Police Check.
• Current Driver's License.
• Roadworthy, registered and insured vehicle.
• Available for a range of shifts, including nights.
• Located in or willing to travel to surrounding suburbs.
• Comfortable working around pets.
• Potential to progress to permanent positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and supervision for individuals living with disabilities.
• Help participants live independently, safely and meaningfully within the community.
• Provide day and overnight supports.
• Work a range of shifts, including sleepover shifts.
