Job summary

Life Without Barriers is seeking a Casual Disability Support Worker for Nowra to provide daily living supports to people living with disabilities, helping them achieve personal goals and maintain a high standard of living. The role requires availability to work across a 24/7 roster, including nights and shorter shifts.

The successful candidate will support SIL, Lifestyle and Day Program services in Nowra, have a valid driver’s licence, and be capable of using mobile and desktop technology.

Qualifications

• Ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and make daily life meaningful.
• Unrestricted Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Willingness to work across a 24/7 roster, including public holidays.
• Proficiency with technology on mobile and desktop devices.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification.

About the role

As a Disability Support Worker in Nowra you will provide daily living supports to people living with disabilities so they can achieve their personal goals and maintain a high standard of living. We have Casual opportunities available, where the successful candidate will need availability to work across a 24/7 roster.

We provide Supported Independent Living (SIL), Lifestyle and Day Program supports in Nowra. The successful candidate will have availability to work active nights and sleepover shifts, as well as shorter 2 to 3 hour shifts.

Skills & Experience

• An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
• Committed to work flexible hours across the week, including public holidays
• Ability to use technology and software on a mobile and desktop
• A current First Aid and CPR Certificate

Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check, Working with Children Check and NDI SWorker Screening Check.
