Life Without Barriers is hiring a Disability Support Worker in Esperance on a casual basis to provide community access and in-home lifestyle supports. The role requires a minimum commitment of 14 hours per fortnight and daytime shifts to help clients achieve goals, build independence and participate in meaningful activities.

The successful candidate will be local to Esperance, with prior disability support experience, and must clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting people with disability.
• Passionate about providing active support.
• Able to commit to last-minute casual shifts.
• Confident with manual handling and personal care.
• Must hold an unrestricted Australian driver’s license.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.

About the Role

Joining our team in Esperance as a Disability Support Worker on a casual basis you will provide a combination of Community Access and in-home lifestyle supports.

With a minimum commitment of 14 hours per fortnight, this role offers consistent daytime shifts supporting people to achieve their individual goals, build independence and participate activities that are meaningful to them.

The successful candidate will be local to Esperance in order to be able to pick-up last-minute casual shifts and have previous experience supporting people with Disability.

Skills & Experience

• Experience working with people with disability
• Passionate about providing active support
• Able to commit to a last minute casual shifts
• Confidence with manual handling and personal care
• An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
• A current First Aid and CPR Certificate

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
