South Burnett CTC Inc. (CTC) is a not-for-profit community organisation delivering support across Foster Care, Residential Care, Youth and Family Services and Disability Services in the South Burnett region.

Our teams operate from Kingaroy, Wondai, Nanango and Murgon, focused on empowering individuals and enhancing community participation. The Disability Support Worker role delivers person-centred care aligned to NDIS Plans, requiring collaboration, empathy and a respectful, empowering approach

Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or relevant qualification (desirable).
  • Experience in personal care services and managing challenging behaviours.
  • Strong commitment to inclusion and respect for individuals with disabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and participants.
  • Queensland Open Driver's Licence and a reliable, registered vehicle for transporting participants.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to pass Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional support and care to participants in line with their NDIS Plans.
  • Collaborate with participants, families and team to pursue individual goals.
  • Promote independence, dignity and respect in daily activities.

South Burnett CTC Inc. (CTC) is a not-for-profit community organisation that provides essential support to disadvantaged individuals across various backgrounds and age groups. Our services encompass Foster Care, Residential Care, Youth and Family Services, Domestic and Family Violence Services, and Disability Services, among others. Position Overview

The Disability Support Worker plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional support and care to participants in line with their NDIS Plans. This position requires a collaborative approach to ensure that each individual's goals are actively pursued, fostering an environment of respect and empowerment.

Salary & Benefits

This casual position offers a competitive rate of $45.28 per hour, in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHCADS). Salary packaging options are available to enhance your overall compensation.
