Job summary

Wellness Medic is seeking a caring Disability Support Worker to join our SIL team in Cranebrook. You will provide person-centred support in a SIL home, focusing on evening routines and daily living activities.

The role has a female preference and involves Wednesday and Thursday evening shifts, including sleepovers, with opportunities for additional shifts in the future.

We offer full training, induction and ongoing support, plus a long-term, respectful working environment and consistent shifts.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year disability support experience preferred.
• Full training and induction provided.
• Essential checks required: NDIS Worker Screening, Working With Children, National Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support in a SIL home.
• Support evening routines and daily living activities.
• Build a positive rapport and trust with the participant.
• Maintain consistent routines and predictable support.
• Assist with meal preparation and household tasks.
• Support community access and activities.
• Follow individual support plans and organisational procedures.

DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER – FEMALE PREFERRED | SIL | EVENING & SLEEPOVER SHIFTS

Location: Cranebrook, Penrith NSW
Employment Type: Casual / Part-Time
Shifts: Wednesday and Thursday evenings, including sleepover
Experience: 6 months to 1 year preferred

Wellness Medic is looking for a caring, reliable and motivated Disability Support Worker to join our SIL team in Cranebrook.

The participant has expressed a preference for a female support worker, so female applicants are particularly encouraged to apply.

We are looking for someone who is interested in a long-term position and can provide consistent support to the participant. Building a strong rapport, trust and a positive working relationship with the participant is very important to us.

Consistency is a key part of this role, as we want to establish a good routine and familiar support relationship with the participant over time.

The role will initially involve Wednesday and Thursday evening shifts, including sleepover shifts, with opportunities for additional shifts in the future.

Previous disability support experience of 6 months to 1 year is preferred. Full training, induction and ongoing support will be provided to the successful applicant.
