HelpAlong is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to assist participants in Silkstone and surrounding areas. You'll support individuals to live independently, using your mental health knowledge in a safe, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Experience supporting people with dementia, schizophrenia and mental health conditions.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification is required.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) is required.
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card) is required.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is preferred.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and follow procedures.
• Comfort with documentation and reporting in systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living support including medication administration and personal care.
• Assist participants to access the community and engage in walks.
• Provide domestic assistance with cooking, cleaning and routines.

Your Role:

As a Support Worker at HelpAlong, you will be providing essential support to participants living in SIL homes, supporting them to live independently while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. You will use your knowledge of mental health to assist participants in overcoming challenges, working collaboratively with their support network to deliver the best outcomes.

Client Support Needs:

• Daily living support, including medication administration and personal care
• Accessing the community and walks around the neighbourhood
• Domestic assistance with cooking, cleaning, and routines

About You

We’re looking for people who bring a mix of experience, skills and understanding to the role. You don’t need to meet every point below to apply:

• Certificate III in Individual Support or similar
• Previous disability support experience
• Current First Aid and CPR
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Current driver license and own vehicle
• Looking for regular, consistent rostered shifts
• Able to maintain professional boundaries and follow company protocols
• Confident with documentation, reporting, and following procedures
• Flexible and reliable with availability
