About the Role
Support a 30-year-old female participant to build greater independence and community inclusion. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality care and support to a participant with complex behaviours. You will assist the participant to access community services, take part in social and recreational activities, and live in a Supported Independent Living environment.
Provide respectful personal care and support
Build positive, trusting relationships with participants
Manage behaviours positively and safely
Promote independence and community inclusion
Key Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting people with complex behaviours
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
Disability Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card)
Current CPR Certificate
Current First Aid Certificate
Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one)
Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, overnights and public holidays
Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance (for contractors)
Relevant qualifications in Disability Support or a related field highly regarded
