Job summary

Ozability Support Services provides in-home and community-based disability support on the Central Coast, NSW. The Disability Support Worker assists with daily living, community access and advocacy, while maintaining documentation and safety standards.

We offer roles that are either part-time or full-time on a permanent basis, with opportunities for ongoing training and development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Disability Services or related field.
• Experience providing support to people with disabilities, in professional or personal capacity.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with clients.
• Driver's licence and access to reliable transport.
• Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, active nights and Sleepovers.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities including personal care and meals.
• Support clients to access community activities and education.
• Advocate for clients and coordinate with support networks.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.

This is a Perm Part time/ Full Time Disability Support Worker role with Ozability Support Services', based on the Central Coast, NSW. As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide high-quality in-home and community-based support to participants with a range of disabilities, empowering them to live independently and engage with their local community. Locations will be anywhere from Woy Woy to Budgewoi.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Supporting clients to access the community and engage in social, recreational, and educational activities
• Advocating for clients and collaborating with their support networks to ensure their needs are met
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies and procedures
• Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and quality standards
• Mental Health Experience
• Must have experience working with high needs/Behaviors
• Able to work in a High intensity & Complex Support house.
• Must be willing to travel between Woy Woy to Budgewoi

What we're looking for

• Relevant Certificate III or IV in Disability Services or a related field
• Experience providing support to people with disabilities, either in a professional or personal capacity
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting people with disabilities
• A current driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, active nights and Sleepovers
