Job summary

Blue Wing Care is seeking casual Disability Support Workers to assist people in Cairns achieve their goals and maintain a quality lifestyle, in-home or in the community.

You will support clients with personal care, meals, and community access while maintaining privacy and confidentiality. A valid driver’s licence, Blue Card, NDIS checks and First Aid/ CPR are required or willingness to obtain them.

Qualifications

• A current Australian driver's licence.
• A roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
• A valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
• A valid Blue Card.
• First Aid and CPR training, or willingness to complete it.
• A certificate or experience supporting people with disability is highly regarded, but any skill or experience level is encouraged to apply.

• Keep a record of the duties you undertake
• Work flexibly across weekdays, afternoons, evenings, overnights, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays

About the role

Blue Wing Care is looking for casual Disability Support Workers in Cairns to support people to achieve their individual goals and maintain a quality lifestyle. Support takes place in a person's home or out in the community. Goals vary from person to person and can include help with cleaning and maintaining their home, personal care, meals, community access, recreation, communication and education.
