Scope (Aust) is hiring a Disability Support Worker for Ormond, VIC. This permanent part-time role covers a 42-hour fortnight roster, with duties including personal care, mobility support and daily living tasks both at home and in the community.

We offer a competitive remuneration package with salary packaging, purchased leave and access to an employee assistance program. Applicants must have current checks and First Aid/ CPR, and be eligible to work in Australia.

Disability Support Worker - Ormond [Supported Independent Living]

Position Details

• Position: Disability Support Worker
• Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time
• Location: Ormond, VIC
• Total Hours per fortnight: 42 hours
• Roster: Permanent fortnightly roster (see roster details below)

About You

• Experience supporting people with physical disabilities and complex support needs.
• Comfortable working in a high physical support environment, including complex manual handling and behaviour support requirements.
• Passionate about delivering person-centred support that promotes choice, independence and dignity.
• Confidence supporting customers with personal care, mobility, medication assistance and other daily living tasks, both at home and in the community.
• A calm, resilient and proactive approach to supporting people with disability.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• An interest in taking on the additional role of Health and Safety Representative would be highly regarded.
• Available to work all shifts listed on the roster.

To be successful in this role you must have or be willing to obtain:

• NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance and Working with Children's Check (Employee)
• Current Level 1 First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Valid Australian Working Rights and an International Police Check if you have lived or worked overseas for more than one (1) year within the last ten years.
