Job summary

Newcastle Anglican seeks a compassionate support worker to assist individuals living with a disability to achieve their goals in Taree. This part-time and casual role includes rotating rosters with some overnight shifts, personal care, health needs, and community involvement.

You’ll need a listener’s ear, flexibility, and a willingness to collaborate with participants and families. Pre-employment checks and a valid driver’s licence are required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (desirable).
• Be open to conversations, a good listener, without judgement.
• Show initiative and think outside the box.
• Empower participants you support — 'Do With' not 'Do For'.
• Complete a pre-employment medical, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, First Aid and have a valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Support household activities, medical and health needs, personal care, and transport.
• Attend community events and manage emotions/behaviours.
