Job summary

DFP Recruitment seeks experienced professionals to deliver person-centred supports assessments for people with disability in Australia. You will gather information, analyse evidence and prepare clear reports, using trauma-informed and culturally-safe approaches so participants feel heard and supported.

Positions are full-time, with hybrid WFH up to 3 days per week. Roles run through 31 December 2026 with view to extension; Australian Citizens are preferred for this Federal Government Agency

Qualifications

• Experience conducting support needs assessments or similar person-centred assessments.
• Strong analytical, report writing and decision-making capability.
• Commitment to inclusive, accessible and culturally-safe practice.
• Trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches to participant engagement.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High levels of professionalism, integrity and ethical practice.
• Experience working within disability, health, allied health or community services environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct support needs assessments through guided conversations and information gathering.
• Analyse and synthesize participant information and external evidence to support evidence-based outcomes.
• Prepare clear, accurate and defensible written assessment reports.
• Apply policy, legislation and procedures using sound judgement and ethical practice.
• Communicate assessment processes and outcomes clearly across virtual and face-to-face settings.
• Escalate complex or high-risk matters appropriately and contribute to continuous service improvement.
• Collaborate across teams to support coordinated and inclusive participant outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records using digital systems while ensuring privacy and confidentiality.
