Life Without Barriers is a leading Australian not-for-profit supporting people with disability, families and communities. We are seeking a Disability Development & Support Officer to provide active support to four males in a Supported Independent Living home in St Kilda, ensuring they live their best life with choice and independence.

The role requires experience with behaviour support plans, creativity in activities, and a commitment to person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Needed experience and confidence working with behaviour support plans.
• Able to create engaging activities for clients with disability.
• Commitment to person-centred support and client goals.

Responsibilities

• Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
• Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
• Maintain thorough record keeping
• Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
• Advocate for client choice and control
