Job summary

Warrnambool College is seeking a capable ES1-2 Disability Inclusion & First Aid/Triage Officer to support students with additional learning needs under supervision.

You will provide direct classroom inclusion support, manage two hours of daily First Aid/Wellbeing triage, maintain confidential records, and act as the designated replacement when the full-time officer is absent, coordinating with the Wellbeing Team and school leadership.

Qualifications

• Current first aid qualifications appropriate to the role.
• Completion of CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma management training.
• Ability to meet Department child safety and employment requirements.
• Demonstrated experience supporting students with additional learning needs.
• Willingness to undertake ongoing professional learning in student inclusion, first aid and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Inclusion Classroom Support - provide direct classroom support to identified students and assist with IEPs, adjustments and behaviour support.
• First Aid and Wellbeing Triage - provide two hours daily coverage, respond to illnesses, administer first aid and monitor wellbeing spaces.
• Designated Replacement for First Aid/Triage Officer - cover duties during absence, manage medical records and liaise with wellbeing staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate student records and communicate progress to teachers.
