Job summary

Direct Care Resources is seeking compassionate, dependable Support Workers to assist people with disability and Child Safety needs across Logan and Ipswich. You will support participants to maintain routines, participate in their communities and work towards meaningful goals.

The role emphasises person-centred, trauma-informed care with supervision from experienced leaders. Travel across the region may be required depending on participant needs and available shifts.

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold, be completing or be enrolled in a minimum Certificate IV in Community Services or Disability related fields.
• Demonstrated compassion, reliability and a client-centred approach.
• Ability to support people with disabilities and child safety needs in community settings.

Responsibilities

• Support everyday living activities including personal care and household tasks.
• Assist service users to attend school, appointments and community activities.
• Build trusted relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Apply person-centred and trauma-informed approaches to support wellbeing.
• Respond to behavioural and complex support needs.
• Administer medication per individual plans and policies.
• Complete shift notes and incident reports accurately.
• Collaborate with families and stakeholders to provide consistent support.
