The role emphasizes student-centred advocacy, coaching, and collaboration with staff and external networks to foster inclusive learning outcomes. A 6-month probation applies; regular hours and a pro rata salary apply.
As a Disability & Access Advisor, you will be the primary point of contact for prospective and enrolled students with disability, providing support, advice, and guidance to help them succeed in their studies. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will assess student needs, coordinate case management, facilitate reasonable adjustments, and connect students with appropriate internal and external support services.

You are a passionate and person-centred disability support professional with qualifications in a disability, community services, or related field and experience supporting people with disability, ideally within an education or training environment. You have a strong understanding of contemporary disability support practices, including case management, strengths-based coaching, reasonable adjustments, supported referrals, and mental health first aid, and are committed to empowering individuals to achieve their goals.
With knowledge of the NDIS and broader support networks, you are confident developing and implementing policies, procedures, and support plans that enhance participation and success. You are an excellent communicator with highly developed interpersonal skills, enabling you to build positive relationships with learners, colleagues, and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
Highly organised and adaptable, you can manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications and committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and supportive environment while continuously building your knowledge of programs, services, and best practice approaches to disability support.
