ACCC is seeking a Director, Strategic Insights to lead a new capability using data, intelligence, and emerging tech to spot risks and opportunities across the economy before they are visible. You will guide a multidisciplinary team, shape priorities, and drive innovation in regulatory practice.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a specialist team in a fast-paced, large, people-centred organisation.
• Experience establishing or leading capabilities that identify emerging risks and generate strategic insight.
• Ability to transform complex information into clear recommendations that influence decision-makers.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and partnerships across boundaries to achieve shared outcomes.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving in complex, rapidly evolving environments.

Responsabilités

• Establish and lead a new strategic capability that helps the ACCC identify emerging risks, market issues and potential misconduct before they become formal complaints, investigations or interventions.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of intelligence, analytics and other specialists to deliver high-impact insight products that inform agency priorities and decision-making.
• Drive innovation in regulatory intelligence and detection, leveraging data, technology, artificial intelligence and new information sources to strengthen the ACCC's ability to identify issues earlier and respond more effectively.
• Influence decision-makers and build partnerships across the ACCC and with external stakeholders to translate insight into action and improve regulatory outcomes.
