Job summary

Gold Coast Hospital & Health Service is seeking a Director Speech Pathology and Audiology to lead the Speech Pathology and Audiology team across the Gold Coast region. You will oversee professional practice and drive high-quality clinical standards.

The role focuses on strategic leadership, service development, education and research initiatives, with a commitment to flexible work options and a diverse workplace culture. Strong governance is required.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree in Speech Pathology or Audiology.
• Eligibility for Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to obtain.
• Criminal History Screening required for new employees.
• Vaccination against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee professional oversight of all Speech Pathologists and Audiologists.
• Provide strategic leadership in development of the Speech Pathology and Audiology profession.
• Resolve complex clinical service or workflow issues.
• Drive innovative clinical practice, service development and improvement, education and research initiatives.
• Utilise high-level negotiation and conflict management skills.
