Job summary

Griffith University invites applications for an experienced Speech Pathologist to join the Allied Health Clinics on the Gold Coast. The role blends clinical practice with student supervision and teaching, supporting children and young people while mentoring the next generation of clinicians.

You will lead evidence-based assessments, manage a diverse caseload, and collaborate with families and educators to promote outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech Pathology required.
• At least 5 years of clinical and/or clinical teaching experience.
• Current professional membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
• Experience with children and young people with speech, language and communication difficulties.
• Strong communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to evidence-based, ethical and high-quality clinical practice.
• Experience in student supervision or clinical education is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based assessment and intervention for children and young people with communication difficulties.
• Manage a clinical caseload across professional and student-led services.
• Supervise, mentor and assess Speech Pathology students on clinical placements.
• Collaborate with families, educators, clinicians and community stakeholders.
• Support interdisciplinary education and collaborative care.
• Build relationships with university and external stakeholders to support student placements.
• Contribute to clinical service improvement and governance.
