Job summary

Gold Coast Health is seeking a Director Speech Pathology and Audiology to lead a large, world-class health care team on the Gold Coast and northern New South Wales region. The role focuses on professional oversight, strategic development, and advancing clinical practice with emphasis on education and research.

Provide professional advocacy and clinical leadership for Speech Pathology and Audiology services

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Director Speech Pathology and Audiology to join Gold Coast Health where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Be responsible for the professional oversight of all Speech Pathologists and Audiologists
• Provide strategic leadership in the development of the Speech Pathology and Audiology profession
• Be responsible for solving complex clinical service or work-flow issues
• Drive innovative clinical practice, service development and improvement, clinical education and research initiatives
• Utilise high-level negotiation and conflict management skills

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Tertiary degree in Speech Pathology or Audiology
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Paid Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

• Base salary ranging from $188,128 - $201,251 per annum
