Flinders University in South Australia seeks an Associate Professor and Director, Regional Training Hub SA, to drive rural medical education and workforce development. You will lead clinical teaching across the MD program, foster partnerships with health services and government, and shape strategic initiatives to strengthen rural training pathways.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with academic staff, and mentoring of students and junior doctors to promote rural and remote career

Qualifikationen

• Extensive clinical experience and current AHPRA registration or eligibility, with a doctorate or equivalent standing.
• Proven excellence in tertiary and clinical education, including leadership in teaching design and evaluation.
• Experience leading and mentoring academic teams, managing teaching programs and curriculum development.
• Exceptional communication and relationship‑building with students, health services, industry partners and communities.

Aufgaben

• Provide strategic leadership for the SA Regional Training Hub and SA Rural Medical Program.
• Build partnerships with health services, professional bodies and government to strengthen rural training pathways.
• Lead and support academic staff in teaching, curriculum development and clinical teaching across the medical program.
• Mentor medical students and junior doctors, promoting rural career pathways through planning and placements.
