Job summary

Flinders University seeks an experienced Associate Professor and Director, Regional Training Hub SA, to lead rural medical education and workforce development across South Australia. This role combines strategic leadership, teaching excellence and strong partnerships with health services and government.

You will mentor academic staff, shape curricula, and drive teaching quality within the MD program, advancing rural training pathways and regional health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Extensive clinical experience and current registration with AHPRA.
• Doctorate or equivalent professional standing.
• Proven record of excellence in tertiary and clinical education.
• Leadership in design, delivery and evaluation of teaching and learning practices.
• Mentoring academic teams, managing teaching programs and curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the SA Regional Training Hub and SA Rural Medical Program.
• Build partnerships with health services, professional bodies and government.
• Lead and support academic staff in teaching, curriculum development and clinical supervision.
• Mentor medical students and junior doctors to promote rural career pathways.
• Drive quality assurance and accreditation activities within the medical program.
