Job summary

Social Services Regulator in Melbourne is seeking a Director to lead the Reportable Conduct Scheme Branch. You will provide strategic oversight of the scheme’s delivery and drive embedding child safety reforms within an intelligence-led regulatory framework.

The role reports to the Executive Director, Safeguarding and Regulation, guiding regulatory practice, stakeholder engagement and organisational change across the division. A strong background in child safety or regulation is essential.

Qualifications

• Executive-level experience in child safety, social services, law or regulation.
• Demonstrated strategic leadership and regulatory change capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level oversight of the Reportable Conduct Scheme.
• Lead continuous improvement of regulatory practices, policies and procedures.
• Lead the branch through organisational change and build a high-performing team.
• Develop data-driven approaches to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Build strategic partnerships with peer regulators and government agencies.
• Contribute to divisional strategy and regulatory reform initiatives.
