Job summary

TAFE SA, based at Light Square campus in Kaurna Country, seeks a Teaching and Learning Director on a full-time executive contract for three years. The role leads teaching and learning practice, policy development and strategic engagement to shape South Australia’s education landscape.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Industry and Innovation, you will provide leadership, authoritative advice and coaching across TAFE SA on quality and innovative teaching and learning, driving large-scale

Qualifications

• Proven success and significant experience in senior educational leadership.
• Ability to plan and drive large-scale teaching and learning performance and improvement initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and political acumen with an understanding of government priorities.
• Extensive experience shaping strategy and developing, implementing and evaluating teaching and learning frameworks and policies aligned with regulatory requirements and research-informed best practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, authoritative advice and coaching on quality and innovative teaching and learning practice across TAFE SA.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director, Industry and Innovation and broader team to guide teaching and learning strategies.
• Drive large-scale performance improvement initiatives in teaching and learning.
• Shape strategy and develop, implement and evaluate frameworks and policies aligned with regulations and best practice.
