Tranby College is seeking an outstanding educational leader to join the Senior Leadership Team as Director of Teaching, Learning and Innovation. This full-time role shapes academic culture, drives excellence in teaching practice, and leads innovation across the Childcare to Year 12 continuum.

You will oversee curriculum, assessment, reporting, academic improvement, educational technology, AI integration, and future-focused learning initiatives, collaborating with Heads of School and leadership

Qualifications

  • Senior educational leadership experience with a whole-school remit.
  • Demonstrated deep understanding of curriculum, assessment and evidence-based teaching practice.
  • Experience leading whole-school improvement and change initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Curriculum, SCSA requirements, VET pathways, NAPLAN, OLNA and ATAR programs.
  • Proven ability to lead professional learning and improve teaching practice.
  • Experience integrating emerging technologies and AI into educational settings.

Director of Teaching Learning and Innovation

As part of our continued strategic growth, we are seeking an outstanding educational leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Director of Teaching, Learning and Innovation.

The Opportunity

This is a significant whole-College leadership position responsible for shaping academic culture, driving excellence in teaching practice, and leading innovation in learning across the Childcare to Year 12 continuum. The successful applicant will champion evidence-based practice, strengthen curriculum coherence, lead professional growth, and help position Tranby College as a recognised leader in contemporary education.

Working collaboratively with the Heads of School, Director of Childcare, and leadership teams, you will provide strategic oversight of curriculum, assessment, reporting, academic improvement, educational technology, AI integration, and future-focused learning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of a coherent whole-College teaching and learning strategy.

Drive excellence in curriculum design, assessment and reporting from Childcare to Year 12.

Champion evidence-based pedagogical practice and instructional improvement.

Oversee academic data analysis and improvement initiatives including NAPLAN, OLNA, PAT and ATAR performance.

Lead professional learning, coaching, mentoring and teacher development programs.

Foster innovation through the purposeful and ethical integration of technology and artificial intelligence.

About You

You are a highly relational and strategic educational leader who is passionate about improving outcomes for students and developing the capability of others.

You will bring:

Demonstrated success in senior educational leadership.

Deep understanding of curriculum, assessment and contemporary evidence-based teaching practice.

Experience leading whole-school improvement and change initiatives.

Strong knowledge of Australian Curriculum, SCSA requirements, VET pathways, NAPLAN, OLNA and ATAR programs.

Proven ability to lead professional learning and improve teaching practice.

Experience integrating emerging technologies and AI into educational settings.

Outstanding communication, relationship-building and leadership skills.

Relevant teaching qualifications and current or eligible TRBWA registration.

Postgraduate qualifications in Education or Educational Leadership highly regarded.

Initial three-year appointment, with renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
