Job summary

William Angliss Institute in Melbourne seeks an accomplished Director Education to provide strategic leadership across the Institute’s education portfolio, aligning educational operations with priorities, regulatory obligations and performance objectives.

This executive role will oversee vocational and higher education, apprenticeships, international education and student learning services, driving excellence in curriculum, teaching, assessment and industry engagement.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualifications and executive leadership experience in VET or HE.
• Experience leading large, diverse educational operations.
• Deep knowledge of Victorian VET and HE regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for educational delivery across the Institute.
• Lead the achievement of educational, operational and strategic objectives.
• Promote excellence and innovation in teaching, learning and assessment.
• Drive continuous improvement and contemporary educational practice.
• Lead initiatives that improve student engagement, progression, completion and graduate outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with vocational education, higher education, funding and regulatory requirements.
• Lead workforce planning, succession and capability development for a highly skilled and future-focused educational workforce.
• Build influential relationships with industry, government, regulators, community organisations and education partners.
• Manage the Education Division’s human, financial, physical and information resources.
• Contribute to Institute-wide governance, strategic planning and organisational leadership as a member of the Executive Group.
