Job summary

ACCC is seeking a Director, Financial Accounting to lead a small team, shape core accounting outputs and provide trusted advice to senior executives on complex financial matters. Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, the role drives statutory reporting, assurance and governance across a large, fast-moving public agency.

You will influence systems and controls, manage risk, and partner with key stakeholders to deliver high standards of financial accountability.

Qualifications

• Extensive executive-level experience leading financial accounting and statutory reporting.
• Advanced technical accounting expertise, with demonstrated knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards.
• Proven track record delivering accurate financial accounting, compliance and assurance outcomes.
• Strong executive judgement and ability to lead at pace in a complex environment.
• Tertiary qualification in accounting/finance and current membership of CPA Australia or CA.
• Hold or be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
