ACT Emergency Services Agency (ESA) is seeking applications to lead the ESA Intelligence Team as Director. You will leverage extensive management experience to guide a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the design and maintenance of business intelligence, spatial and digital platforms that support emergency decision making.
You will direct spatial modelling, GIS, mapping, web applications, SharePoint content, data dashboards and analytics.
Details: The Emergency Services Agency is seeking applications from highly motivated, experienced, and suitable individuals to lead the ESA Intelligence Team. As the Director, ESA Intelligence you will use your extensive management experience to lead a multi-disciplinary team in the design and maintenance of business intelligence, spatial and digital platforms capability. You will play a pivotal role in achieving ESA’s goal in developing and delivering cutting edge capability that supports business and emergency decision making.
The specialist operational and technical support your team provides to the ESA includes spatial modelling, mapping and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), web applications, SharePoint content, data dashboards and data analytics. You will be required to develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with the relevant stakeholders across government to ensure projects are well supported with the appropriate technical solutions. Further to this, you will lead the Mapping and Planning Support volunteer group who provide location technology support and specialist mapping capabilities for the emergency services.

Notes: This is a temporary position available from 12 October 2026 until 9 July. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
