Job summary

Kooinda Workbase Child Care Centre, part of KU Children’s Services, seeks a Director to lead a long day care team on the University of Newcastle Callaghan campus. You will mentor staff, drive reflective practice, and champion innovative pedagogy to deliver high-quality early childhood education.

This permanent full-time role offers a Director’s allowance, rostered days off, extra personal leave, and staff discounts, with extensive professional learning and leadership support.

Qualifications

• ACECQA recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree.
• NSW Working with Children Check current.
• NESA Teacher Accreditation current.
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications current.
• Child Protection Training completed.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support the team while fostering reflective practice and continuous improvement.
• Build a strong culture of collaboration, pedagogy and high quality early childhood education.
• Oversee day-to-day service operations in a non-teaching Director role.
