Job summary

Ulton Group, a Queensland-based advisory, accounting and wealth management firm, seeks a Director, Business Services in Brisbane to lead client engagements and drive growth. You will mentor teams, shape strategic direction and deliver tailored tax, accounting and advisory solutions.

You will manage a portfolio of clients, oversee complex work, and push for service expansion while staying ahead of regulatory changes. Strong leadership and public practice experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• CA/CPA or equivalent professional qualification required.
• Significant experience in Australian public practice accounting.
• Advanced knowledge of Australian taxation law, corporations law and trust law.
• Strong leadership and people-management capability.
• Experience managing a client portfolio and providing high-level commercial advice.
• Proficiency with Xero, MYOB, Reckon or QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and contribute to Ulton’s long-term goals, growth strategies and operational objectives.
• Manage and strengthen relationships with a portfolio of valued clients.
• Deliver tailored taxation, accounting and business advisory solutions, identify opportunities to add value through tax planning, financial analysis and business strategy.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals while managing team workflow, productivity, performance and development.
• Review complex accounting and taxation work and provide constructive technical guidance.
• Drive business development initiatives and identify opportunities to expand Ulton’s services.
• Champion innovation and continuous improvement across client service and internal operations.
• Monitor industry developments, regulatory changes and emerging trends.
