Australian Department of Defence – Russell ACT is seeking a Director Business Management to lead a small, high-performing team within the Navy Capability Division, delivering strategic and operational outcomes to support capability delivery.

You will oversee governance, finance, workforce, learning and development, risk, reporting and information management, and provide trusted advice to senior decision-makers while driving continuous improvement across processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and business support to Navy Capability Division.
• Lead and coordinate core business management functions including finance, workforce, learning and development, corporate risk, reporting and governance.
• Manage records and information management to ensure compliance with legislation and Defence policy.
• Plan and deliver automated repositories for identified information outcomes.
• Provide high-quality advice to support senior decision-making and prioritisation.
• Oversee business performance, aligning with strategic objectives and Government priorities.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support collaboration.
• Drive continuous improvement across business processes and systems.
