Only About Children Springboard is hiring a Diploma Room Leader for our Melbourne CBD campuses. You will lead daily learning, routines and educator support in a room fostering play-based, child-led learning across the OAC Grow framework.

The role requires a Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved) and at least two years of full-time experience in a similar setting. Salary ranges from $68,865 to $80,000 plus super, with opportunities across multiple Melbourne campuses.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education from a recognised RTO or ACECQA approved qualification.
• Strong understanding of EYLF and NQF.

Responsibilities

• Lead a safe, inclusive and engaging room environment with supervision and care.
• Plan and implement child-led, play-based learning using the OAC Grow Curriculum, EYLF and NQF.
• Build meaningful relationships with children and families through warm, respectful communication.
• Guide daily routines, small group experiences, transitions, mealtimes and room responsibilities.
• Document children's learning through OAC Connect and maintain records for planning and QIP.
• Mentor and support educators in the room through guidance and modelling best practice.
• Maintain a strong commitment to child safety, wellbeing, compliance and continuous improvement.

About the role

Our Melbourne campuses are looking to welcome full-time Diploma qualified Room Leaders with at least two years of full-time work experience in an Early Childhood setting.

This is a full-time opportunity with an annual salary of $68,865 to $80,000 + Super, depending on qualifications and experience.

As a Room Leader, you will lead the day-to-day learning, routines, safety and educator support within your room. You will work collaboratively with the wider campus team to create safe, engaging and inspiring environments where children can learn through play and build confidence.

Skills and experience requirements

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education from a recognised Registered Training Organisation, or equivalent ACECQA approved qualification
• Minimum of two years full-time relevant work experience
• Current Working with Children Check, Employee
• Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF
• Experience with programming, planning and documenting children's learning
• Ability to establish room routines and manage daily room operations
• Experience mentoring or managing educators within the room
• Strong family communication and partnership skills
• Genuine passion for early childhood education and development
• Creative, supportive and cooperative team approach
