Job summary

WaterNSW is seeking a Procurement Sourcing Specialist (Digital) on a max-term two-year contract to partner with business leaders and technology stakeholders. You will lead sourcing activities supporting the digital, technology and ICT portfolio within WaterNSW.

The role requires a tertiary qualification in Procurement or related field, strong experience in digital procurement, and a proactive approach to improving procurement processes and supplier outcomes.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Business, Commerce or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience in (Digital) procurement, sourcing and/or category management with end-to-end source-to-contract understanding.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management across diverse business groups.
• Commercial mindset balancing risk, value, compliance and business objectives.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented with sound judgement and initiative to improve stakeholder outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFx documentation, supplier engagement, evaluations, negotiations and contract awards.
• Develop clear scopes of work, technical requirements and procurement strategies aligned with WaterNSW standards.
• Draft and oversee procurement plans, evaluation plans, award recommendations and governance artefacts.
• Support supplier performance management through reviews, issue resolution and development initiatives.
• Drive improvements to procurement processes, systems and ways of working to improve efficiency and governance.
