Job summary

The Digital Learning Specialist role within the Department of Defence focuses on shaping the learning culture for digital professionals and delivering high-quality digital learning materials. You will manage and create engaging eLearning experiences, working with stakeholders and production teams to drive outcomes.

Ideal candidates will have strong instructional design, multimedia production, and project management skills, plus hands-on experience with major authoring tools and LMS platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience applying contemporary instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and learner-centred design.
• Extensive experience in eLearning development, digital learning design, and content creation.
• Strong project management skills to plan, prioritise, schedule, and manage multiple projects with stakeholders.
• Ability to translate learning requirements into detailed scripts, storyboards, and engaging eLearning experiences.
• Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or Lectora.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with LMS platforms and understanding of SCORM standards and compliance.
• Ability to lead teams through analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of digital learning projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across geographically dispersed teams.
• Proven track record delivering multiple projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Experience managing team workloads and developing team capability.
