Labelmakers Group in Somerton VIC is seeking an Experienced HP Digital Printer to join our production team. This afternoon shift runs Monday to Thursday from 2:30pm to 12:30am, focusing on delivering high-quality label products to tight specifications.

You will operate the HP Digital Printer safely, set up tooling, films, ink and papers, and collaborate with the warehouse, pre-press and production crews to meet daily targets.

Formación

• 3+ years’ experience in digital or press printing.
• Experience operating HP equipment preferred.
• Trade certificate in Printing (advantageous).
• Ability to work autonomously with high attention to detail.
• Good planning and organisational skills; team player.

Responsabilidades

• Safe operation of the HP Digital Printer to deliver quality products on time.
• Maintain tight quality standards on all label print runs.
• Set up machines, tooling, films, ink and paper for each print run.
• Work flexibly to meet customer needs and minimise downtime.
• Contribute to GMP, quality, safety and housekeeping practices.
• Collaborate with warehouse, pre-press and production teams; communicate effectively.
• Support minor maintenance and troubleshoot as needed.
• Assist other printers and production staff to meet targets.

About the opportunity:

We are now looking for an Experienced HP Digital Printerto join our team at Somerton VIC.

This is an Afternoon Shift opportunity working 4 days a week, Monday to Thursday, 2:30pm-12:30am.

Printers are the core of our business to produce quality products for our customers within the required targets.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Safe operation of the HP Digital Printer to deliver perfect product within the assigned daily production
• Have an eye for detail when printing label products which have tight quality specifications.
• Ensure timely set-up of machines including tooling, films, ink, and paper for the print run.
• Work flexibly, to ensure customer needs are achieved and to minimise downtime.
• You will contribute to all steps in our production process and practices including, Quality, Safety, Good Manufacturing practice (GMP) housekeeping and Environmental control measures.
• Form a trusting bond with your colleagues such as the warehouse, pre-press team and broader production crew and communicate effectively across multiple work groups.
• Support minor maintenance tasks and trouble shooting.
• Support other team members (printers, finishers, pre-production) with tasks to ensure customer and production needs a are met.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Ideally, you will have 3+ years’ experience in digital or press printing. Experience operating HP equipment is highly regarded and will place you at the top of our shortlist.
• A Trade Certificate in Printing or relevant certification would be advantageous.
• Must be able to work autonomously and take initiative.
• To have high attention to detail and proud of your work standard – quality focus
• Demonstrated planning and organisational skills.
• Be a team player that can communicate effectively across multiple work groups.
