Inner West Council in Sydney seeks a senior leader to shape digital experiences, driving strategies, programs and initiatives that improve how staff and community connect and access services online. You will champion user-centred design, digital innovation and accessibility across Council, collaborating with teams to deliver seamless, higher quality online experiences.

Remuneration from $155,168 to $174,643 per year plus 12% Super; closing date Sunday 15 November 2026, 11:30 PM.

About the role

Shape the future of digital experiences at Inner West Council. As a key leader, you will drive innovative strategies, programs and initiatives that enhance how our staff and community connect, engage and access services online. Working collaboratively across Council, you will champion user-centred design, digital innovation and accessibility, creating seamless experiences that build capability, strengthen engagement and deliver meaningful outcomes for our community.

Remuneration

$155,168.00 - $174,643.04 p.a. + 12% Superannuation

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in digital experience, information technology, business management, or equivalent relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience leading digital service transformation or customer experience improvement initiatives along with commitment to continuous learning, equal employment opportunity, risk management, workplace health and safety, and ethical practice
• Strong business analytical skills with experience in gathering, interpreting and applying digital user insights along with interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a commitment to quality and service excellence
• Proven experience leading large-scale change initiatives and digital projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement
