Job summary

Mott MacDonald in Sydney is seeking a Design Manager to lead a team of digital designers delivering water, wastewater networks and treatment infrastructure, aligning with climate resilience and growth challenges.

You will mentor junior staff, manage design standards, and collaborate with clients and partners while applying Civil 3D, Revit and 12D Model expertise and WSAA standards knowledge to project delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Engineering/Associate Degree in Civil Engineering (minimum).
• Proficient in Civil 3D, Revit and 12D Model.
• Experience delivering water and wastewater projects.
• Knowledge of WSAA standards and drawings.
• Leadership aspiration to lead a digital design team.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with CDEs like ProjectWise, BIM360, ACC and Synergy 12D.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate a team of digital designers to program and budget, and to client and industry engineering, model and drafting standards.
• Collaborate with other partner design and/or construction organisations, including client members.
• Support, develop and mentor junior digital designers.
• Apply past construction and commissioning experience into digital design.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients.
• Support and provide input to new bid opportunities.
