6-month fixed term | Part-time, 3 days per week | 1 day WFH | Ultimo
A hands-on digital role where you'll keep ActivateUTS websites running smoothly and empower marketing teams to own their digital presence.
ActivateUTS brings the UTS experience to life beyond the classroom. We run 190+ student clubs and societies, support 455 elite athletes across 44 sports, and delivered over 5,800 events last year. Our commercial venues, including Aerial Function Centre, The Underground, The Loft on Broadway, The Terrace, ActivateFit.Gym and UTS Store, generate revenue that is fully reinvested into student programs and experiences. We are a not-for-profit of around 60 permanent staff and 100+ casuals across hospitality, fitness, events, retail and student engagement, all on one campus in the heart of the city.
Reporting to the Head of IT & Digital, the Digital Coordinator provides continuity and capability across the ActivateUTS web portfolio while ownership of website content transitions to the teams that own each business function.
The role has two priorities. The first is continuity: keeping the ActivateUTS, ActivateFit.Gym, Loft, Underground, Aerial and UTS Store sites publishing accurately and on time through the transition and through pre-semester and O'Day peaks. The second is enablement: training the Commercial Marketing and Student Life and Sport Marketing teams to administer their own sites confidently, refreshing supporting documentation, and acting as the first technical point of contact before matters are escalated to IT or the retained agency.
This is a hands-on delivery and training role based on campus at Ultimo, with one day per week worked from home.
You are a hands-on digital professional with strong WordPress and CMS experience who gets things done accurately and on time. You are equally comfortable building a complex landing page, troubleshooting a plugin conflict, and sitting with a marketing team member to walk them through publishing their first page. You write clear documentation, communicate technical concepts in plain language, and work well autonomously across a part-time schedule with competing priorities.
Passion: Our heart is in everything we do. We bring energy and enthusiasm to every project, driving a positive culture and creating memorable experiences.
Growth: Our potential knows no bounds. We continuously seek innovative ways to improve and enhance our services, meeting our community's evolving needs.
Collaboration: Our strength lies in unity. We collaborate internally and work closely with students, UTS, clients, and partners to create unified and engaging outcomes.
Trust: Our word is our bond. We build strong relationships through honest, transparent, and ethical practices.
Inclusion: Everyone has a seat at our table. We celebrate diverse backgrounds, ideas, and perspectives, fostering a welcoming community where everyone feels valued.
