Job summary

Smarter Bathrooms and Kitchens in Port Melbourne is seeking a hands-on Digital Content Creator to capture renovation stories on site, film client interviews, edit reels, and design ads and graphics for campaigns.

You will work closely with our Designers, Project Managers and leadership team to develop content calendars, grow engagement across Instagram, Facebook and beyond, and uphold a premium brand identity.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Digital Content Creator or Social Media Content Creator.
• Knowledge of major social platforms and social media management tools.
• Strong video or image editing skills (Lightroom, Photoshop or similar).
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Confident on camera and able to work independently.

Reporting and guided by the Head of Marketing & Communications, the role of Digital Content Creator is responsible for creating compelling social media content. You will have a passion for social media with professional competence and knowledge of all major social media platforms, and social media management tools.

About the Role

This is a creative, action-packed position for someone who knows their way around a design project with a camera. You will be out on renovation sites capturing transformation stories, filming client interviews, editing reels, designing ads, and developing eye-catching graphics for campaigns. You will work side-by-side with our Designers, Project Managers, and leadership team to uncover the most interesting stories at every stage of the renovation journey.

What You Will Do

• Create high-quality video and photographic content for social media and digital marketing
• Craft and edit reels, stories, and short-form videos for Instagram, Facebook, and more

• Design digital ads for Google, Meta, Pinterest and other platforms
• Produce graphics, social tiles, campaign assets, and promotional materials
• Maintain a consistent, premium visual and brand identity across all channels
• Work with the team to develop content calendars and identify fresh opportunities

About You

You are creative, detail-oriented, and have a keen eye for interiors, even if you haven’t worked in renovations before, however you will have a genuine interest in this. You will need to have worked in a medium sized organisation where you can demonstrate your role has helped support growth and results.

• Experience as a Digital Content Creator or Social Media Content Creator
• In-depth knowledge of all social media platforms as a consumer and as a business user
• In-depth knowledge of all social media management tools as a business user
• Strong video or image editing skills (Lightroom, photoshop or other editing tools)
• Highly organized with great attention to detail
• Confident behind (and sometimes in front of) the camera
• Able to work independently, but thrive in a creative, project-driven team

Technical Skills

• Proficient with smart phones, MAC, and PC
• Professional experience using Canva, Metricool
• Skilled across Adobe Creative Cloud (highly regarded)
• Experience with Lightroom and/or other video editing software

A Graphic Design background or qualification would be an advantage, and a portfolio presentation will be required at your first interview. As this role requires you to visit our various renovation locations, you will need a current and clean driving licence and a vehicle.
