Goulburn Valley Health is seeking an experienced Grade 1 or 2 Dietitian for the Diabetes Centre on a fixed-term basis, 2-3 days per week for 12 months. The Diabetes Centre at GV Health are looking for an experienced Grade 1 or a Grade 2 Dietitian to join the team on a fixed term basis 2-3 days per week for 12 months.
The Diabetes Centre aims to maintain, improve and promote the optimal health and wellbeing of people diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus and who have complications of diabetes. It is responsible for improving client outcomes and reducing hospital readmissions. The program advocates for people with diabetes and is grounded in the principles and practices of a client centered approach to the provision of diabetes self-management education.
The Diabetes Centre Dietitian is responsible for ensuring appropriate nutritional management and education of patients, their families, and staff within Goulburn Valley Health and the wider community. The position includes individual client work, involvement in multidisciplinary clinics and group education as directed by the Diabetes Centre Manager. This position provides services across all program areas including, but not limited to, diabetes in pregnancy, paediatrics, High Risk Foot Clinic (HRFC) and technology in diabetes. A special interest in paediatrics or gestational diabetes will be an advantage.
