Job summary

The Sutherland Hospital Nutrition and Dietetics Department at South Eastern Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Dietitian Assistant (AHA) to join our team in a temporary part-time role. You will support Dietitians in delivering nutritional care, helping ensure patients receive appropriate dietary support during their hospital stay, with a 7‑day rotating roster including weekends.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, or equivalent work experience and willingness to work towards certification.
• Proven interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and principles.

Responsibilities

• Support Dietitians in delivering high quality nutritional care to patients.

The Sutherland Hospital Nutrition and Dietetics Department is seeking a highly motivated, dedicated and enthusiastic Dietitian Assistant (AHA) to join our team in a temporary part time role. As a Dietitian Assistant, you will support our Dietitians in delivering high quality nutritional care to patients. Your role will be vital in ensuring patients received appropriate dietary support during their hospital stay.

Sutherland Hospital is a 375-bed major metropolitan hospital and teaching hospital. The Sutherland Hospital campus offers a comprehensive range of inpatient services to Sutherland Shire residents, including surgical, medical, emergency, maternity, child, youth and family, critical care, aged care, rehabilitation, mental health and community-based services.

The Dietitian Assistant team at Sutherland Hospital works a 7-day rotating roster which includes weekend & public holiday shifts.
