Job summary

WSB Distributors is seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Loxton team, servicing AGCO hay/ harvest gear, Krone balers, and Manitou Telehandlers across the Riverland and Murray Mallee.

If you’re 2–3 years from your apprenticeship or a recent graduate with a proven record, we want to hear from you. You’ll work in-branch and on customer sites, diagnosing and repairing equipment while building strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified diesel technician, 2–3 years post-apprenticeship preferred.
• Recent graduates with proven ability encouraged to apply.
• Experience with agricultural machinery is a bonus, not required.
• Self-motivated and able to work autonomously on offsite jobs.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• HC licence and automotive air conditioning knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair AGCO hay & harvest equipment, Krone balers, and Manitou Telehandlers.
• Work in-branch and at customer sites, managing jobs independently.
• Build lasting relationships with customers as the face of WSB in the field.
• Collaborate with team and continually learn from colleagues.

What we are looking for

• Trade qualified Diesel Technician, 2-3 years post-apprenticeship preferred, though recent graduates with proven ability are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Experience with agricultural machinery is a bonus, not a requirement.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously on offsite assignments.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine ability to connect with customers.
• A team player who contributes positively and supports those around them.
• Automotive air conditioning licence and HC licence are advantageous but not essential, we will support the right person in obtaining these
• The ability to establish strong connections with our existing customers.
• You will understand the importance of team work at branch level and throughout the company.
• You're comfortable working on your own, managing your workload, and travelling across the Riverland and Murray Mallee as needed.
