Job summary

Adaptalift Group in Brisbane seeks an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic/HD Fitter to join our Acacia Ridge team on a permanent full-time basis. You will perform fault finding, servicing and major repairs on heavy equipment, delivering safe, high-quality service at customer sites with a modern workshop environment.

We offer a Monday–Friday schedule with OT, fully maintained vehicle, tooling, and ongoing training for career progression. Applicants must have a Diesel/H.D.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as a Diesel Mechanic or HD Fitter in heavy equipment.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.
• Strong commitment to safe work practices.
• Good communication skills and ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding, troubleshooting and resolving breakdowns
• Undertaking scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
• Diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic issues
• Attending customer sites to deliver high-quality and safe service
• Collaborating with the team on major repairs, overhauls and commissioning

What You’ll Be Doing

• Fault finding, troubleshooting and resolving breakdowns

About You

• Solid experience as a Diesel Mechanic or HD Fitter within heavy equipment (Transport, Construction, Agricultural or Mining industries)
• Strong background in diagnostics, servicing and hydraulics
• Mechanical Trade Qualification (Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Plant Mechanic or similar)
• Current Australian driver’s licence
• Strong commitment to safe work practices
• Good communication skills and ability to work autonomously
• Full working rights in Australia
• Ability to undergo a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening
