Job summary

Exact Contracting is seeking trade-qualified Diesel Fitters to join maintenance teams across civil construction projects in South Australia. You will be responsible for the servicing, diagnostics, fault finding, repairs and both scheduled and breakdown maintenance of company-owned mobile plant equipment.

You will work on a wide range of heavy mobile plant, including excavators, dozers, graders, loaders, scrapers and haul trucks, with pre-employment checks and safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Diesel Fitters with heavy mobile plant experience.
• Heavy diesel trade qualification (Cert III or IV) is essential.
• Current, unrestricted driver’s licence and construction white card required.
• Proven commitment to health and safety on site.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and meet timeframes.
• Self-driven with results orientation.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, diagnostics, fault finding, repairs on mobile plant.
• Carry out scheduled and breakdown maintenance of company-owned equipment.
• Work on a broad range of heavy mobile plant and machines.

You will be responsible for the servicing, diagnostics, fault finding, repairs and both scheduled and breakdown maintenance of company-owned mobile plant equipment.You will work on a wide range of heavy mobile plant, including:

• Graders: CAT 12M, 14M, 16M, 24M
• Loaders: CAT 966, 980, 988, 992
• Scrapers: CAT 623, 627, 657

• Haul Trucks: CAT 740, 777, 785

The successful candidates will possess the following:

• Heavy Diesel Trade Qualification (Cert III or IV essential);
• Minimum 2 years’ experience maintaining earthmoving or road transport equipment;
• Current unrestricted driver’s licence and construction white card (essential);
• Proven commitment to health and safety;
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team; and
• Personal drive and results orientated.
