Job summary

Bajara Plant Hire is seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team onsite in Central Queensland. This DIDO role is based on site near Gladstone on a 15/6 roster, with a fully maintained company vehicle provided.

You will maintain and repair our fleet of civil construction and heavy plant equipment, ensuring machines operate safely and efficiently. This is a great opportunity to join a well established civil and plant hire company with major project

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Diesel Fitting or Heavy Vehicle Mechanics.
• Minimum 4 years' experience on heavy diesel machinery.
• Current Class C Driver's Licence (mandatory).
• Experience with civil or earthmoving equipment (mandatory).
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage jobs efficiently.
• Commitment to high safety standards.
• Indigenous Australians encouraged to apply.
• Only workers with valid Australian work rights will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing faults and repairing heavy diesel engines and mobile plant.
• Servicing and maintaining machinery including excavators, loaders, graders, dozers, dump trucks and more.
• Attending breakdowns and performing field repairs when required.
• Performing preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
• Completing job cards and service records.
• Ensuring equipment meets safety and compliance standards.
• Working with the operations team to keep plant running efficiently.

Bajara Plant Hire is seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team onsite in Central Queensland.

This is a DIDO role based on site near Gladstone on a 15/6 roster. This would ideally suit someone based in Gladstone or Rockhampton. Bajara will provide a fully maintained company vehicle.

You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of civil construction and heavy plant equipment, ensuring machines are operating safely and efficiently.

The Role

Working on site, your responsibilities will include:
