Job summary

SMW Group in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our field service team across multiple Bowen Basin sites. You will inspect, service, and repair heavy mobile equipment and diesel plant, perform fault finding, and rebuild work to keep mine operations productive and safe.

This permanent, full-time role requires a hands-on approach, autonomous on-site work, and commitment to safety. We offer weekly wages, site inductions, and ongoing opportunities within a reliable contractor

Qualifications

• Experienced Diesel Fitter in coal mining or heavy industry environments.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills on diesel-powered plant.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service and repair heavy mobile equipment and Diesel plant.
• Fault find and rebuild diesel machinery to ensure reliability.
• Work autonomously on site while adhering to strict safety standards.
